Father's Day Poem

This is a poem that I wrote for my husband. He can be the strongest person you have every seen, but let our daughter scrape her knee or have a tummy ache and he feels worse than she does.

A Father's Love

A father's love is great indeed;
His strong arms hug and hold.
He loves his children more than anything else;
A hundred-thousand fold.

He reads them stories, acting them out;
Making them exciting as can be.
His thank you coming from wide-eyed wonder and
A little voice saying "Again, Daddy, read it to me".

He works and toils every day
To provide all that they need.
Never once will he say he's too tired to play;
He has endless energy indeed.

He can be very strong and endure much pain
From the hard work he does each day;
But let his children scrape their knee, and
His tears need to be wiped away.
