Del Monte has voluntarily recalled specific product codes on dog and cat treats and some dog foods. This is due to the contaminated wheat gluten that has been responsible for the other recalls. The wheat gluten came from a manufacturing facility in China and was contaminated with Melanine - a chemical used in plastics. The affected pet products comprise less than one tenth of one percent of Del Monte's annual pet food and pet treat production. The use of the wheat gluten was limited to the products below. All their other pet food is free of the wheat gluten that came from China. The recalled products are:
