
This is a great alternative to lasagne. It has a tremendous flavor and is super easy to make. You can use any pasta that you prefer (provided that it is small enough to layer).
Layered Hamburger Bake
4 1/2 C. egg noodles (or pasta of your choice)
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/8 t. pepper
1 (9 oz.) container cream cheese and chives
1/2 C. sour cream
1/4 C. cream
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen spinach, cooked and drained
1/2 C. shredded mozzarella
Cook noodles according to package directions and drain. Cook beef and onion until beef is done and onions are translucent and drain well. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, garlic powder, pepper and noodles. In a separate bowl, stir together cream cheese, sour cream and cream.
In a 13x9 pan, layer 1/2 of beef mixture, 1/2 cream cheese mixture, all of spinach and remaining beef. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover and spread remaining cream cheese mixture on top; sprinkle with shredded mozzarella. Bake 10 additional minutes.
